Academic Neuroradiologist for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center / University of Pittsburgh

Assistant/Associate/Professor, NT (full-time)

Fellowship-trained neuroradiologist needed to join state-of-the-art subspecialized academic practice. Research opportunities and support are abundant, but clinical applicants are also encouraged. The Neuroradiology Division is composed of 12 fellowship-trained CAQ-certified faculty, who interpret neuroradiology examinations from our 3 core academic hospitals and also interpret or consult on difficult neuroradiology cases throughout the UPMC health system. Mentorship and career development are emphasized within the division. Super-specialization within neuroradiology is encouraged.

The MR Research Center and the PET/CT Research Center form the core of the research environment, and provide support to numerous multi-departmental translational and clinical research opportunities. Dedicated research coordinators are available for funded and unfunded research. The hospital system has been repeatedly named to the US News and World Report's Honor Roll, and is a leading center for otolaryngology, neurosurgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, trauma services, and neuro-oncology. UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where the neuroradiology division is centered, is a Level I Trauma Center. The Hillman Cancer Institute provides nationally-recognized multidisciplinary care for neuro-oncology and head and neck cancer patients.

UPMC is a $16 billion global health enterprise with 80,000 employees headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, including 4,000 physicians, more than 30 academic, community, and specialty hospitals, more than 600 doctors' offices and outpatient sites, a health insurance services division, and international and commercial services. The Department of Radiology at UPMC is one of the largest academic radiology programs in the country. The practice is supported by fully-staffed clinical offices, residents, and neuroradiology fellows. There are several robust neuroradiology procedural services supported by dedicated nurses and physician assistants. For more information, please visit our website: http://www.radiology.pitt.edu/

Duties will be a mix of clinical, teaching and academic responsibilities. Applicants must be board certified in radiology, CAQ-eligible in neuroradiology, and eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.  The University of Pittsburgh is an Equal Opportunity Employer for EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
