The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) School of Medicine and newly established clinical entity, UTHealth Rio Grande Valley are growing. The Department of Pediatrics seeks a fulltime Pediatric Pulmonologist. The chosen candidate will join an established practice with another Pediatric Pulmonologist and nurse practitioner. The successful candidate(s) is/are expected to maintain a clinical practice, supervise residents, teach medical students and develop an area of scholarship.
They must also maintain an educational environment conductive to education for residents and students in each of the ACGME/LCME competency areas. We value experience with the underserved populations such as is found in the Rio Grande Valley. Improving the health of the children of the Rio Grande Valley now and for future generations is our goal.
Candidates must be an MD, DO or have an equivalent degree from an accredited institution and have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. Academic rank and salary will be awarded commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
The UTRGV School of Medicine, established in 2015 and located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, has a focus toward community health.
