Associate Or Senior Planner

Eau Claire, Wisconsin West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (WCWRPC) is seeking to fill a professional position requiring a strong working knowledge of various planning methods, contemporary planning tools, and broad planning experience. West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is a seven-county, multidisciplinary planning agency located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin - a vibrant All-American City. The hired person will be responsible for assisting local governments with a wide variety of planning- and policy-related activities including but not limited to comprehensive planning, land use and natural resources planning, regulatory tools, community development, etc. Site planning, urban design, and plan review experience as well as familiarity with state land use rules and agencies is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate would possess superior written and verbal skills, excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency with GIS, Word, Excel, and other Office applications, familiarity with common demographic and economic research and analysis techniques; and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A bachelor's degree in planning, or related field is required; masters' degree desired. Candidates must possess at least four (4) years' experience in planning or a closely related field. Starting salary range: $45,000- $65,000 depending on background and qualifications. An excellent fringe benefit package and flexible work hours are also available. Position start date is September 2018.
