SUMMARY: Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate activities at all levels in addition to high school athletics throughout the district to support the extracurricular development of participating students. Responsible for and provide leadership, guidance, and administration among the district facilities. Develop partnerships with external organizations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
*Master’s Degree
*Must possess a Colorado Principal License with evidence of evaluator endorsement prior to start
*Must possess current CPR/First aid certification or obtain prior to start
*Experience coaching athletics, knowledge of Colorado High School Scholastic Association policy and regulations
*Experience as a teacher, sponsor, and coach of student clubs or organizations desired
*Highly proficient in math, communication, leadership and computer skills.  
*Operating knowledge of PC, computer software (Excel) and word processing software (Word).
*Demonstrated ability to effectively lead personnel to set standards and to accomplish goals in a large and complex education organization. 
*Advanced knowledge of pK-12 central office administration procedures and practices. 
*Advanced oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. 
*Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies and building and department procedures. 
*Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator. 
*Personal computer and keyboarding skills. 
*Critical thinking and problem solving skills. 
*Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. 
*Must be able to build interpersonal relationships with students, parents, the community at large and administrative team members
*Must provide own transportation to and from primary work site and to meetings throughout the District and Metro area
*Must pass a pre-placement district physical
*Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired
*Ability to utilize district databases
*Knowledge of working with student groups (e.g. link crew, student council, etc.)
*Knowledge of school law pertaining to discipline, attendance, and student crisis
*Demonstrated skills in facilitation, problem solving and conflict management
*Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
*Bilingual desired
*Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
*Effective management of athletic budgets, extra duty contacts, supervision of coaches and support staff, facilities coordination, master calendar development, and scheduling/transportation
*Daily operation of the athletic program
*Development of athletic evaluation protocols
*Strong planning, organization, and evaluation skills
*Ability to work respectfully with diverse groups
*Must be able to utilize interpersonal skills to deal effectively with middle and/or high school level students, parents and community
*Must possess the necessary knowledge base for the shared decision making and issues management
*Must operate at the highest levels of the effective and cognitive domain
*Must successfully utilize strong interpersonal skills with staff, parents and students in conflict resolution
*Building Security/Safety
*Manage personnel issues, various Human Resources related projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer and/or Director of Human Resources   
*Representative and manager of Workers’ Compensation to include meetings, hearings, and follow-up.
*Serves as a Human Resources representative on various district committees.
*Provides Employee Relations Services to District Employees, serves as a resource to all Westminster Public Schools (WPS) staff in matters of Federal, State, and District procedures and policies.
*Assists with leadership and training opportunities for staff as it relates to Human Resources and organizational improvement areas.
*Completes various District surveys, submits annual CDE report, and generates various reports for supervisors.
*Responsible for quality control on HRMS entry, staffing assignments, appropriate assigned salary accounts, salary placements, personnel folders, and completion of new hire packets.
*Manages unemployment claims.
*Reports directly to Chief Human Resources Officer.
*Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer and/or Assistant Superintendent.
