Accounting Clerk - Entry Level

Partners Personnel is currently looking to fill a Accounting Clerk position for our Produce client located in Ventura County area. The role is a 1st shift role Monday thru Friday.

Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk performs basic clerical duties within the accounting department at the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager. Basic clerical duties include reviewing invoices, bills, vouchers, or other documents for corrections before entering into records; sorting and filing documents. Other duties may include sorting and/or distributing mail.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Files A/P Accounting documents daily.
• Opens incoming mail, date-stamps and distributes mail to appropriate departments daily.
• Enters vendor and freight invoices in accordance with AP guidelines.
• Assists with check runs including matching vendor invoices mailing out checks.
• Assist with banking as needed.
• Assists with vendor maintenance.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience in accounting or other office environment.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and related skills.
• Basic/beginner MS Excel, and MS Word skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving workplace.
• Experience in D365 is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
