Job Description

Hiring due to heavy column of SBA Lending. Pay rate depends on experience. If not currently working could be a temp position, if working, depends on experience. No working remote, bank located in Downtown LA.

 

Service the needs of the commercial customers seeking both SBA and non SBA loans and lines of credit. Maintain SBA and commercial portfolio, build relationships, ensures customer satisfaction, quick response to customer and prospects needs, timely follow-up on renewal and delinquencies.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

 

1. Interviews prospective customers and works closely with other bank officers or third parties to gather all relevant credit and financial data to initiate the credit process.

 

2. Evaluates the validity of the credit and establishes whether the customer meets the Bank’s Credit Policy guidelines.

 

3. Prepares preliminary analysis of customer financial information.

 

4. Secures approval from CCO & DCCO required Loan Committees.

 

5. Responsible for file maintenance from origination to loan closing and servicing.

 

 

6. Coordinates with Department Manager in structuring loans per SBA SOP.

 

 

7. Manages assigned portfolio for delinquencies, annual site visitations, and financial spreads.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree desired; or 5 years experience in commercial and real estate lending and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Knowledge of:

 

• Customer service and operations practices in the banking industry

• Banking and financial terminology and operations

• SBA/commercial and real estate lending

• Credit Analysis

• Investor guidelines and credit reporting regulations and standards

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax return analysis and analytical interpretation of balance sheet and income statement analysis and cash flow

• Loan documentation

 

Abilities:

 

• Data entry and the use of a calculator; operate telecommunications equipment and other office equipment.

• Use word processing, spreadsheets, and specialized financial systems software.

• Handle strong volume of workflow from various sources.

• Plan, organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

• Analyze and solve work problems.

• Follow oral and written instructions.

• Communicate effectively with staff, management, customers, public and private representatives, vendors and other parties.

• Communicate clearly, either orally and in writing.
