Business Systems Analyst Apprentice - QA Testing

O'Neil Digital Solutions is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst Apprentice to be based at our corporate headquarters in Playa Vista. Responsibilities include supporting Systems Engineering team of developers and business stakeholders to document systems requirements, user manuals, and Quality Assurance test plans, liaising with the offshore team in communicating business priorities and needs, and assisting in their role to architect solutions.

WHAT DOES THE JOB ENTAIL?

• Work closely with Business Stakeholder, Product Owner, technical architects, and developers as part of an agile team to design, build, and deliver solutions. Collaborate with on-site business and engineering teams and with the Offsite developers, and Quality assurance
• Facilitate integration and user testing including documentation of test scenarios and oversight of testing progress for projects and production support
• Assist in developing and executing QA test plans and scenarios
• Communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely, and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner.
• Develop basic database queries and perform analysis on results
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug issues
• Participating in analysis and resolution of system malfunctions or issues
• Preparing technical documentation for project plans, processes, procedures, applications, and products/systems.
• Execute test requirements and processes for all applications, ensure QA policies and standards are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
• Proactively seek, identify, and collaborate on innovative solutions
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT ARE YOU BRINGING TO THE TABLE?

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline required
• Demonstrated basic database query skills
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, such as agile or waterfall
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices including: Agile, source control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), documentation
