Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Manager for an immediate opening. Our client is registered and licensed to provide skilled and ancillary services in both the Medicaid and Medicare programs in Washington DC as a foreign company. They currently offer the following services to their clients in the District of Columbia: skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, medical social work, personal care aide, and companion services.

Job Responsibilities

The Clinical Manager is responsible for assuring appropriate matches between clients needs and the skills and abilities of the clinical staff assigned to each case. The Clinical Manager directs activities to guarantee consistency of caregiver assignments, coordination of the services being provided and productivity standards. The Clinical Manager proactively identifies staffing requirements and participates in the hiring and performance development of clinically qualified caregivers. The Clinical Manager assists with recruiting, interviews, and hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews for clinical staff.

Additional responsibilities for the Clinical Manager include:

Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm
On Call (discretion of DON)
Oversees 10 RNs and 28 LPNs
Job Requirements

We are looking for dedicated and professional Clinical Manager who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and service. It is also important that you are highly organized and that you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific qualifications for the Clinical Manager role include:

Graduate from an Accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
Minimum 2 years acute care experience; Minimum 2 years home care or long term care experience; Minimum of 2 years supervisory/ management experience;
RN licensure in good standing in the District of Colombia; current CPR.
Extensive knowledge of Medicaid/ Medicare guidelines
Extensive knowledge of Oasis protocol
Previous experience with and knowledge of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and/or Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) Accreditation
Strong homecare scheduling experience with an understanding of staffing and scheduling requirements related to home health
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Experience with ICD 10 Coding
Knowledge of quality assurance protocols.
Proficiency with computer-based patient database systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
