Enervise is seeking professionals with service experience in HVAC Building Automation Systems (BAS)& Controls.

 

bullet responsibilities

The primary responsibility for a Controls Technician is 

  • Meet regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems and is responsible for servicing products and equipment at customer service locations and on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems . Keeps customer informed on service provided, outstanding issues and recommends enhancements, upgrades or repairs.
  • Receive and run controls related service calls and PM task schedule for controls with minimal assistance. Troubleshoot, repair and program control systems.  
  • Start up, testing, commissioning and servicing controls projects.
  • Provides training to customer on controls systems as directed
  • Modify existing programs, troubleshooting to maintain optimum system operation.
  • Perform database uploads and downloads to provide DDC controllers with current programs.
  • Verify correct system and control sequence operations.
  • Provide reports by accumulating data from multiple automation systems and/or software support programs.
  • Review, modify, and implement programming changes to building automation system to ensure efficient and effective system operations and conformance with standards and guidelines and energy savings.
  • Calibrate, repair, and replace building automation system sensing devices to specifications.
  • Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work order requirements.
  • Troubleshoot power supplies, controllers, and transducers; take corrective actions.

  bullet required qualifications 

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).At least three years experience with installation, service, or maintenance of controls systems.
  • HVAC service and Controls experience preferred. Education may vary, but 2 -4 years in technical program and/or equivalent experience in Controls and HVAC service.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Drug Free and able to pass Criminal Background Check
  • Knowledge of all aspects of HVAC
  • Low voltage Building Automation or PLC controls experience a plus.
  • HVAC or Electrical trade knowledge beneficial
  • Intermittently out of town travel and overnight stays

  bullet required knowledge, skills, abilities 

  • Proficiency in servicing various control systems that may include  Honeywell, Johnson, Distech and other controls systems.  
  • General understanding of controls systems programming.
  • Tridium AX, N4 and/or AX security certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry protocols ( ie. LON, ModBus, and BacNet) preferred.
  • HVAC mechanical or electric service or installation experience is a plus.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Good oral and reading skill, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers’ installation instructions and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and company personnel.
  • Interest and initiative in maintaining his/her HVAC and DDC controls skills through a combination of self-study, corporate training, workshops, and other developmental activities.
  • You must have advanced computer skills including proficiency in the use of Windows based PC’s, networking, and Windows based applications.
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, control wiring diagrams, and controls sequence of operations.

 

   bullet physical qualifications 

  • Full range of physical activity including occasional sitting, , lifting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform job duties at high elevations
  • Lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
