Title : ROS/LiDAR Senior Software Engineer
Location : Mountain View, CA 
Duration : 12 Months 
Work Requirements : US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

Overview :
The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs and implements solutions addressing critical challenges in robotics for some of the most autonomous systems on or off the planet. As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in the entire software process, from concept development to design, implementation, and demonstration.

Main Responsibilities:  

Provide technical direction for the design and development team
Define software architectures, requirements, solutions and development environments
Develop software components and algorithms for spacecraft servicing robotic systems.
Work with other engineers and scientists to design, develop, integrate and test related systems and software components.
Oversee the day-to-day software development flow, test and integration process with other subsystems.

Qualifications:

7+ years of directly applicable experience Hands-on experience with robotics software development in C++.
Experience with Linux
Experience with automation and controls systems
7+ years of directly applicable experience Hands-on experience with robotics software development in C++.
Experience with standard best practice software development for the full SW development lifecycle.
ROS (robotic operating system) is a must
Experience with precision motion
Ability to communicate software and algorithm design, complexity analysis, and performance metrics in written and oral reports
Ability to quickly grasp and come up-to-speed with large software codebases
Experience with simulation and simulation systems and/or robotics
LiDAR experience is a plus
Must have experience working with complex systems 
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or Computer
