About this role...

As an NWEA® Account Executive , you will be responsible for acquiring new customers (Part ners), supporting new and existing Partners with our growing portfolio of Products and Services including renewals and expansions , and increasing NWEA's lea dership position in New York . You will work with a regional team, led by a Director of Partner Accounts, focused on reaching new Partners in districts up to 30,000 students as well as working with current partners on renewals , expansions, and growth. For this opportunity, candidates should reside in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut.

About the Partner Accounts, East Accounts team...

NWEA's Partner Account s group is comprised of over 125 professionals whose mission is to reach state and local education agencies with our products and services. Structured in strategic teams, the Partner Accounts group is comprised of several teams including Major Accounts, Stan dard Accounts, State & Federal Government Accounts, National A ccounts, Int ernational Accounts, Specialty Accounts, Sales Operations, and Proposals team. This role joins the East Accounts team within Standard Accounts.

Your next challenge ...

  • Lead development, qualification and conversion into opportunities
  • Actively prospect and close opportunities for NWEA products and services
  • Ensure that NWEA reaches a high level of account penetration in each account, reaching more kids in all districts within an assigned territory
  • Drive revenue growth through acquisitions of new, strategic partners, as well as expansion of current partners
  • Develop a territory strategy to penetrate and grow assigned geographic region
  • Manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience managing sales relationships, pipeline and opportunities in a CRM system (Salesforce preferred)
  • Leverage your current knowledge with K-12 education market, experience with K-12 assessments in classroom setting , and work with BOCES structure in NY

  • Demonstrated ability managing a territory in a hybrid role both successfully negotiating and closing new enrollments, as well as maintaining a high renewal rate and expansions
  • Meet personal and team enrollment, retention, and expansion goals
  • Ensure Partner loyalty and customer satisfaction for retention; establish Partner communication strategy to uncover needs and resolve issues
  • Exhib it knowledge of New York education marke t, BOCES structure, district and business operations and functions with ability to have impactful conversation with senior school and district contacts and administrators
  • Ability to be effective in a growing organization, and handle a large volume of customer accounts and activity
  • Ability to travel on average, at 60%

Education and experience...

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or a related field is required
  • 6 to 10 years of field sales experience and selling to the NY K-12 education market required
  • Experience initiating, acquiring and growing mid-sized to large strategic accounts
  • Experience with NWEA products, services , and procedures preferred, experience in the educational assessment market required
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the NY K-12 education market, including BOCES and district business operations and functions
  • Must reside in the state of New York , or a geographic location within driving distance of NY state and have ability to travel, up to 6 0% on average. Territory will be Long Island and nearby areas
