Hospital is looking for interventional cardiologist to join our growing group. 1 in 3 call. $50 K sign on. Must live in community.

Clinical specialties represented on our medical staff include full time family practice, general surgery, internal medicine, interventional cardiology, medical oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pediatrics, radiology and radiation oncology specialists.

New 15, 000 square foot emergency room will include 17 exam and treatment rooms and a 10 bed observation unit. And will go live on MEDITECH’ s new 6.x electronic health record, replacing MEDITECH’ s Magic system.

Hospital sees 12, 000 emergency room visits and admits 4, 300 inpatient and outpatient observation patients a year, making Newman the largest Critical Access Hospital in Kansas.

Our adult inpatient and outpatient observation patient census averages 16 patients a day, so you will enjoy a busy and collaborative practice as part of our employed multispecialty provider group. With the addition of our new hospitalist program our employed group will include 14 fulltime primary care and specialty physicians, 5 emergency room physicians and 7 non-physician providers.

Hospital is affiliated with Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College Schools of Nursing and provides clinical rotations for their students in our hospital, which includes hands on training opportunities in our state of the art simulation lab. Hospital nurses are highly trained and work with staffing ratios of 4 medical/surgical patients per nurse, which is among the best in the country.
