Senior IT Developer
Key Responsibilities:
Designs develops, tests and maintains software programs based on business requirements. Daily tasks may include requirements analysis, design, planning, coding, testing, documentation, error/exception handling, performance improvements and business process implementation. Tasks may also include analysis, research and recommendations for process implementation, performance and technology improvements.
Required Skills:
• Strong foundation with HTML, JavaScript and Java
• Experienced with OOP
• Relational database design and application development (PostgresSQL and Microsoft SQL)
• Experience with Jaspersoft or other reporting tools
• Experience with .NET and classic ASP pages
• Experience or familiarity with Python, AWS, Git source control and ETL concepts is desirable
• Experience with one or more development methodologies (i.e. waterfall, Agile)
• Demonstrates critical thinking problem-solving skills and innovative solutions.
• Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Demonstrates technical writing skills
• Keen attention to detail is a must
• Strong sense of urgency, solid sense of ownership, and team player
• Ability to work well in a team
• Independent judgment may be required. Responsibilities are usually project based.
• Experience with open source technologies (i.e., Linux, Apache, Tomcat, etc.)
• This is for an onsite, full-time position - 8am-5pm M-F
Experience and Education:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related subjects is required.
A minimum of 4 – 6 years of relevant experience is required.
