The GeneLab project aims to develop an integrated repository and bioinformatics system for data analysis and modeling. The project enables the discovery and validation of molecular networks that are influenced by space conditions through ground-based and flight research using next-generation omics technologies. GeneLab engages the broadest possible community of researchers, industry, and the general public to foster innovation. It strengthens international partnerships by leveraging existing capabilities and data sharing

This role supports GeneLab’s data systems architecture and development efforts, omics data acquisition, as well as support for Analysis Working Groups (AWGs). Work requirements include:

- Biocomputational Environment Development and Support

- Interaction/support for the GeneLab Data Systems (GLDS) development team

- Support for weekly and monthly team meetings, conferences

- Various other support activities

Cooperative work with the civil service staff and with other contractors and Bay Systems collaborators is essential for the efficient performance of this Task.
