What would you do?

We are looking to recruit a highly organized and motivated individual to join our top performing direct-to-retail sales team as an Account Manager to our strategic partner Costco. The incumbent will work with Costco to deliver on day-to-day needs, grow the business and advocate with other departments within the company to create new systems and strategies to help grow the business via the generation of sales opportunities and providing outstanding customer response to key issues of satisfaction and new product development.

Top candidates will have a broad skill set to include strong sales management, negotiation experience, leadership, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, and a deep commitment to the customer. You must be willing to challenge the status quo to improve existing workflows and processes. You must have the presence and communication skills to represent Kerry in a professional, responsive, and ethical manner at all times.

  • Relationships: Build strong relationships with Costcos buyers, manufacturing, product development and sourcing teams and collaborate on ways to exceed sales goals and objectives.

  • Liaison between Costco ICS (buyers) and Operations so we have accurate data for planning and forecasting.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal functional teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.

  • Foster an outstanding customer relationship by regularly engaging with the customer to provide business reviews, deliver value proposition and maximize customer utilization of Kerry services.

  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills including verbal, written, and listening to learn the customers business and leverage emerging technology in tandem with Kerrys internal systems to drive compelling business propositions.

  • Manage and execute key success factors to meet quarterly goals. (Example of key success factors pipeline, negotiation, closes, activation, retention)

  • Strong business acumen, project management skills and an ability to generate creative solutions based on customer needs.

  • Solution and situational selling skills.

  • Data Analysis: Use data to identify successes and areas of opportunity, understand and utilize partner-specific reporting, share data with partners and the executive team in a way that strengthens partnerships and drives overall business.

  • Detail-oriented: Manage several moving parts within the business simultaneously with a high level of detail and organization.

  • Team Collaboration: Build and develop collaborative relationships within direct-to-retail and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of all aspects of your partners business.

  • Improve the customer experience: Maintain integrity of existing product listings, build out product collections, and develop merchandising strategies within your partners unique parameters.

  • Other related duties as assigned based on the needs of the customer.

  • Seattle based with 20% travel.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelors degree required. Ideally in business, communications, or a similar discipline.

  • 3-5 years of work experience in retail account management.

  • Experience working with Costco isstrongly preferred.

  • Private brands or contract manufacturing experience is preferred.

  • Capable of working with multiple partners, systems, and personalities.

  • Professional negotiation experience.

  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams.

  • Track record of success in delivering against goals and targets.

  • Highly organized with attention to detail in a high-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. "Outside of the box" thinking.

  • Willingness & ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

  • Solution and situational selling skills.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM) is preferred.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
