Technology Application Manager

Achates Power Inc. seeking Technology Application Manager in San Diego, CA to coordinate the design, development and testing of aftertreatment. The systems will meet present and future regulatory standards (chassis and dyno certification) of our OP engine.

• Coordinate Aftertreatment development for the API OP engine.

• Interface with base engine P & E, controls, OBD & engineers to evaluate trade-offs between engine HW, calibration and the impact on exhaust after treatment.

• Evaluate alternative aftertreatment architectures with the OP engine.

• Create IP disclosures for innovative solutions.

• Write and present papers at industry conferences.

Qualifications:

• MS Mechanical Engineering

• 10 years experience designing, implementing and testing embedded diesel engine control systems.

• 7 of the 10 years experience required in design & development of the Control System using Matlab, Simulink and/or LabView
