Press Operators

The Central Oregonian Press is seeking SSC Community Goss press operators. Experience is a bonus but we will train the right, mechanically-inclined applicant. We are expanding our press operation and are seeking up to four press operators. Likely four 10-hour shift workweeks. Job entails set-up, adjustments, maintenance and safe operation of press, plus other duties as assigned, perform various manual and mechanical duties in the press production. Must be able to work at a pace to meet a busy schedule, and work well within a team structure. Our standard is to produce high-quality print products and it’s the press operator’s responsibility to monitor the quality of the press run at various points within the run.

The positions are full-time with benefits, with good wages based on experience. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalency; able to walk/stand for 10 hours; basic math skills; flexibility to work weekends, late evenings; be self-motivated, have high energy with a positive attitude.
