**Psychiatrist Opportunities in Norwich, CT** Located in southeast Connecticut. 40 miles from Hartford and 50 miles from Providence, RI Full-time, permanent H1B candidates welcome to apply **2 Openings:** *Inpatient Setting:* - Provide direct patient services including diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy - Work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team and may act as a clinical team leader for the coordination and supervision of care provided across clinical disciplines, including providing guidance and leadership to other clinicians on the team in formulating and implementing the treatment plan. - Loan assistance available *Inpatient/Outpatient Setting:* - Provide direct patient care services. The Psychiatrist will divide the time between the in-patient service (along with another Psychiatrist and a Psychiatric APRN) and the out-patient service. - On both the services, the psychiatrist is expected to provide services, including diagnostic admission evaluations, ongoing psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy, as appropriate. The psychiatrist will work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team and act as a clinical team leader for the coordination and supervision of care provided across clinical disciplines, including providing guidance and leadership to other clinicians on the team in formulating and implementing the treatment plan. - The ideal candidate is expected to act as liaison and communicate effectively with outside providers, primary care physicians, and family members, as needed. - Opportunity to provide supervision to selected medical students, residents and non-physician health professionals. Option to participate in Medical Staff Committees and is expected to attend meetings as specified in Medical Staff regulations. The Department is focused on the development and maturation of early career psychiatrists. - Call: shared with 4 other psychiatrists during the week. Weekend call is extra and paid additionally. **Requirements:** - Experience in adult outpatient services, experience with a multidisciplinary team treatment model. - Licensure/Certifications Required - Board Certified (or Board Eligible if within 5 years of residency) - State of CT, Department of Public Health medical license; DEA; CCSR; Buprenorphine waiver; Clozapine REMS registration
