A large, busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located southwest of Altoona and 60 miles east of Pittsburgh.
Assignment details:
-Monday-Friday plus call and weekend call
-Hours: 7a-3p
-They are flexible to work with the MD on their availability for call
-Types of Cases: General (Adult and Peds and Trauma); Spinal, Epidural, Regional, OB, Neuro (head and spine), Complex vascular (not open heart) and Complex Ortho Open Heart and Thoracic preferred, not required
Post Op Epi, Post-Op extremity blocks, Ultra-sound use in placement of blocks, Vent management
-Needs cardiac experience, but they dont require a fellowship nor certification
-EMR: Cerner and paper charting
-Supervision of CRNAs
-25 ORs, 537 beds
-Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and Board Certified (ABMS/AOA)
-Active PA license and DEA
