Information Technology Programmer Analyst

The City of Bremerton is seeking to establish an eligible register for the position of Information Technology Programmer Analyst in the City’s Finance/IT Department. Once established, this register is valid for one (1) year and future open positions will be filled using this register.

Under general direction of the Information Systems Manager, maintains, administers, develops and supports major software and database systems and highly complex computer applications.

Formulates and designs new or revised methods of applying computer technology toward the solution of operational problems. Provides support to departments for the installation, adaptation training and use of third party application software. This includes numerous work elements involving developing and maintaining business application interfaces, databases, integrating related technologies (i.e. Internet), integrating remote IOS devices and providing GIS end user support, including writing documentation and users’ manuals and training users on new systems.

The hiring range for this position is: $37.12 - $43.89 per hour (DOQ).
