24 Hour Physician Coverage
8a-8p, 8p-8a – 12/24 hour shifts
Requirements: BC/BE FM, IM and EM , ATLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
*Residents Accepted*

NPPA Coverage- Work Independently

  • NPPA Requirements: *Must have 3+ year of ED experience/Critical Care
  • NP- Dual Certified: ACNP + FNP, ACNP + ENP, FNP +ENP
  • ACLS/ATLS/PALS and DEA


Facility Information

Mary Breckinridge Hospital is part of the not-for-profit Appalachian Regional Healthcare System. Located in the beautiful mountains of southeastern Kentucky, the 25-bed facility provides basic necessary services and partners with a strong network of healthcare providers to care for the residents of its community. Mary Breckinridge Hospital offers a variety of inpatient services, state-of-the-art diagnostic and ancillary services, and houses the Wasson Rural Health Clinic.

Hyden is located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains and is situated along the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River. Hyden has a small town charm and offers hunting, ATV trails, camping and hiking. This town provides low housing costs and low cost of living. Hyden is about 2 hours southeast of Lexington and north of Knoxville, Tennessee.
