JOB TITLE: Associate Medical Director

REPORTS TO: CEO

DEPT: Medical & Clinical

JOB SUMMARY The Associate Medical Director is responsible providing clinical oversight to each member of the clinical team (PI's sub investigators and raters). The Associate Medical Director works closely with the President and Vice President to ensure continuity and standardization of operational practices throughout the organization.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Familiarize him/herself with all of the studies running at each site
- Review/job descriptions of clinical staff members to ensure they integrate company values and goals
- Work with Chief Medical Officer on the hiring, training and mentoring of new members of the clinical team
- Create goals for clinical team members
- Develop a training program for new investigators to ensure organization's goals are met along with adherence to clinical trial protocols and the maintenance of patient safety
- Work closely with investigators to identify and eliminate any recruitment barriers
- Liaise with the Rater Director to ensure organization's raters are meeting company goals especially as it relates to obtaining of data post completion of clinical trials
- Review data after completion of a clinical trial and placebo separation metrics in order to improve clinical research outcomes and ascertain opportunities for improvement
- Meet with clinical team members as necessary to review progress
- Review feasibilities for new studies and provide feedback to marketing team
- Participate in PSSVs and SIVs as necessary
- Interface with CNS studies' Project Managers and Medical Monitors when clinical issues arise
- Provide high level involvement in the planning and execution of the new clinical research site planned to launch
- Attend national academic conferences for education, company representation and marketing purposes
- Maintain clinical and technical expertise in CNS and drug development through review of scientific literature and attendance at key scientific meetings
- Liaise with the Health Systems providers and leadership to help ensure a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship with both organizations
- Interact with regulatory agencies and Quality Assurance department as appropriate
- Participate in community advocacy groups and other organizations as necessary
- Speak or identify a designee to speak at local community groups to educate others about research and the organization
- Other tasks as delegated by CMO & President/Vice President

QUALIFICATIONS - Board-certified or board- eligible Psychiatry physician
-Clinical research experience as a principal investigator
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent written and quantitative skills
