Associate Research Engineer

Job Description Salary: General Description The Associate Research Engineer is responsible for executing defined experimental tasks and facilitating smooth operation of the Research Team operations. They also support the various logistical, documentation, recordkeeping, analysis, and maintenance needs of the organization. Key Responsibilities · Preclinical trial prep: packing, ensuring all necessary devices and systems are available and sterilized for trials, including transporting materials to/from the research labs and tracking prototype build progress · Trial performance: preclinical animal and benchtop trials, including setup, generator operation, datasheet and note-taking, breakdown and cleanup · Trial analysis: Preclinical tissue analysis and documentation, data input and data analysis, histology slide semi-quantitative scoring · Logistics management: recording data sheets, supporting documentation, maintaining trial records, handling shipment of materials · Lab maintenance: organization, cleanliness, and material availability/ordering responsibilities as well as waste disposal coordination Key Requirements Education and Training: B.S.
in sciences or engineering Skills and Experience: 0-3 years of experience in medical devices, engineering, biology, or graduate research. Some biology background and experimental techniques preferred. Other: Must be able to drive.
Occasionally lifting up to 35lb. Will handle or work with potentially hazardous materials (formalin, dyes, stains, etc).
