Automotive Technician

Job Title: Autostore Technician

Location: Torrance, CA

Overview:

The Auto-store Technician will report to the Auto-store Supervisor. The Auto-store Technician is responsible for the shift maintenance and repair of all Auto-store equipment including robots, grid, ports, and chargers. The Auto-store Technician needs to an independent worker who can produce results with minimal oversight and supervision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Execute maintenance per PM schedule as assigned by Supervisor

·         Document maintenance with organized record keeping  

·         Monitoring diagnostic interface throughout shift, particularly at start of shift to ensure equipment is functioning properly

·         Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment as needed and required for efficient operations

·         Record and update parts usage and maintain accurate inventory

·         Always use proper PPE and maintain a safe working environment

·         Effectively communicate with operations leadership throughout shift relating to port performance including system shutdown and re-start

·         Communicate with relieving shift any necessary information or pending follow ups required

·         Maintain clean and organized work area

·         Report any system or performance issues to Supervisor for follow up

·         Perform service calls to help desk

·         Overtime, Weekend work and flexible schedule as required

Required Skills:

·         Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including motors

·         Experienced with repairs, tools

·         Intermediate computer skills including email, excel & ability to learn software system (Exacta)

·         Organized

·         Good communication skills – both verbal and via email with excellent follow through

·         Able to problem solve and handle high stress, high intensity environment

·         No disciplinary action on record for last year including attendance (Internal candidates)

·         Comply with all company policies and procedures

·         Must be proficient reading, writing and speaking English
