The Mission

The User Experience & UI Infrastructure group at Algolia is building a practice and platform that activates product and revenue opportunities, set a high bar for product quality through design, and ensure that the customer's needs are portrayed in every product conversation.

• Contributing to Satellite, our best-in-class Design System
• Working on features of the Algolia Dashboard itself, such as navigation, search & overall micro-frontend architecture
• Building new backend services powering our frontend infrastructure platform, to enable quick & autonomous deployment for all teams
• Building tooling, features & guidelines that contribute to a great Developer Experience
• Collaborating with developers to support the adoption & usage of our tools

We have ambitious goals ahead of us and in that context we are looking for a strong, empathetic Product Manager to lead and direct our efforts.

The Opportunity

In this role, wou will be responsible for product strategy that informs the Algolia dashboard and design system roadmaps. You will also contribute to the front-end vision for all of Algolia. As part of the team, you will be responsible for working closely with engineers and designers to develop platforms that allow each contributor at Algolia to do their best work and ship lovable customer experiences, modern & accessible UIs, and a front-end architecture that scales with our rapid growth.

The Team

The Dashboard platform Team provides developers, both inside and outside of Algolia, with the building blocks they need to create world-class customer experiences, deployment tools to continuously deliver front-end UIs, and a framework for a growing engineering organization to scale with

By delivering a dashboard platform, this team will empower Algolia developers to own their products' UI and still leverage shared best practices, tooling, and guidance. Similarly, the design system platform will give designers and developers guidance and UI libraries that allow them to build modern, accessible UIs that delight customers and consistently scale over time.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, define, and communicate the strategy, vision and roadmap of the Dashboard Platform team with all key stakeholders, partnering with the Executive Leadership Team.
• Build processes to deliver APIs that satisfy the needs of our customers (internal and external)
• Collaborate with product design and research to build a world-class design system that enables lovable customer experiences.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to empower them to own their customer facing UIs and still leverage the benefits of a shared front-end platform architecture.
• Build and nurture an agile and innovative product culture within the team, founded on the importance of continuous and rapid prototyping and learning
• Use analytical and quantitative skills to manage the business 'by the numbers'.
• Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action
• Understand the evolving competitive landscape and identify potential strategic partnerships for complementary product offerings
• Organize in-person customer research with companies, affinity groups, or representative users to gain end-to-end real-world

A good fit will have :

• 6+ years of experience envisioning and building resilient, high-throughput services and products.
• An ability to work with engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales, and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.
• Contributed to the management of your products from both a technical and business perspective. The success of our products is in your hands.
• The ability to ship quality products in a fast-paced environment. We expect you to be able to work and communicate across the organization at all levels. You must have experience working directly with engineers and engineering management.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on product management experience in writing detailed product specifications is a must.
• Has a strong builder mentality and can approach opportunities with both an experience and platform focused approach. We are looking for someone with a technical bent to communicate with internal engineering teams and the developer customers.
