We are part of the United / Mayflower network which has moved people for over 100 years!! Our company specializes primarily on the commercial deliveries. Our client base includes several Fortune 500 Companies to the 5 state area including Indiana. 

Safeway Logistics is currently looking for a FULL TIME

Experience with 26' foot 26,000 pound Delivery Box Truck with air brakes ...and a for hire endorsement

A successful Delivery Driver candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of electronics equipment to a predetermined customer home and/or business, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks, placement, light assembly and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Delivery Driver Primary responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection

Load and Unload product safely and damage free onto trucks

Delivers product to primarily business customers following a predetermined route; completes delivery per customers expectations

Obtain delivery confirmation per customer specification via tablet, and/or paperwork

Driver and a helper work together to make local daily deliveries around the Indianapolis metro area, throughout the state of Indiana, and into neighboring states.

Provide exceptional customer service to our customers

Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatchers

Follow all safety procedures in the performance of job duties

Other duties may be assigned including general warehouse and cleanup duties

Delivery Driver Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Valid Indiana Driver's license with an endorsement of one of the following:

Chauffeurs Driver’s License or For Hire equivalent
CDL Class B
CDL Class A
Ability to pass a DOT physical for a DOT Medical Certificate

Minimum of (1) year experience driving a straight truck of at least 16,000 lbs. (required)

Ability to work and drive in all types of weather

Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled

Professional appearance

Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise (with a helper) weighing between 70-250 pounds

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner

Passing a background and drug screen (required)
