System Automation Engineer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a System Automation Engineer for our client in the Electronics/IT Services domain. Duration: 6 Months Contract with extension
Location: San Jose, CA (OR) Austin, TX - Hybrid 2-3 days a week

Role Description: The System Automation Engineer must have at least 5+ years of experience. As a Systems Automation Engineer, you will be a part of an Automation team working on setting up, maintaining, and improving the continuous build, test, and integration infrastructure for the GPU Software organization.
The tool stack includes Gerrit, TeamCity, Gradle, Artifactory, Kotlin, Python, Vue.js, and MongoDB. No need to know them all – if you are a software engineer, have experience with CI/CD systems, and must love to automate the automatable.
Qualifications:
- Coding assessment MANDATORY (any language they prefer)
- Object oriented Python – Solid development experience.
- MongoDB preferred – else any generic database experience required.
- Kotlin/Java will be plus.
- Must be someone who is aware about CI/CD pipelines
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Solid software engineering skills, designing, and testing scalable solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work effectively with remote teammates (Pacific and Central time)
Pluses:
- Experience developing Object-Oriented Python
- Experience developing in Kotlin
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab)
- Experience with build tools (e.g., Gradle, Cmake)
- Experience with artifact management systems (e.g. Artifactory)
- Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React)
- Experience debugging with Android Debug Bridge (adb)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience
