Our company is looking for an Engagement Manager to join our growing team as we enter a new phase of expansion. We are a Toronto, New York, and Boston-based, venture-backed startup at the heart of the FinTech movement that is shaping the way financial services are delivered.

Our product

NorthOne is a mobile, tech-powered bank account built for startups, freelancers, and small/medium-sized business (SMBs). Poor financial literacy has an outsized impact on the costs and failure rates amongst SMBs, and we are on a mission to eliminate these problems. We are more than a banking platform, we are the world class Finance Department that small businesses could never afford.

We ❤ our partners. As our Engagement Manager, you’ll work with our world-class Engineering, Product Management, Growth and Customer Support teams to make our most important projects with our partners a success. You'll also benefit from our experienced leadership and incredible advisors. Our COO has helped build brands like Frank and Oak and has lectured about growth at SXSW. Oh, and our CEO? 6 years at McKinsey working on digital customer experience in financial services. We’re building a product that solves real pain, vs the imagined kind. Feeling it?

REQUIREMENTS

Today you might be a Delivery Manager, Relationship Manager, Partnerships Lead or the equivalent in your company...or something that we haven’t heard of yet - we keep an open mind. 

The most important characteristic for our Engagement Manager joining our team is your attitude. We want you to join because you don't see roadblocks, you see opportunities to be at your best. You know that somehow, you and the rest of our team can figure anything out.

The skills that will make you successful in this role:

  • Required skills
    • Help diagnose issues, work with stakeholders to develop solutions and make sure they get delivered on time and to spec
    • Great business side and technical project management skills
    • Be a conduit of constant communication between NorthOne's team and our strategic partners
    • Identify problems or risks early, taking action to solve them or to escalate them when needed
    • Navigate policies and organizational structures to make sure we get things done quickly, while maintaining visibility for all stakeholders
    • Support our Engineering, Product Management, Growth and Customer Support teams by clearing a path with our partners

  • Nice to haves
    • Experience in management consulting, technical consulting, partnerships management, or work within a PMO office
    • Experience working in banking, FinTech, or the financial services industry
    • Experience working in an scale stage startup
