We serve clients from a diverse range of industries including healthcare, music and entertainment, and more. We are an accounting firm in Nashville looking to expand our team. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Senior Tax & Advisory Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is able to work independently on accounting and tax matters. They are able to perform as an experienced tax preparer. They are able to prioritize and work efficiently to meet deadlines. They can communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Tax:

• Prepare Federal and State tax returns for individual and business
• Prepare and submit other required tax filings: sales and liquor tax, gross receipt tax, personal property tax, and Form 1099
• Perform tax research
• Prepare tax projections and other tax planning strategies
• Respond to tax notices in a timely manner

Bookkeeping and Accounting:

• Enter data into QuickBooks and perform account reconciliations. Utilize QuickBooks, both desktop and online versions, for bookkeeping tasks
• Record monthly accounting adjustments and depreciation to ensure the accuracy of transaction classifications
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis

Payroll:

• Process weekly and monthly payroll
• Prepare payroll tax returns

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Have a minimum of two years of experience in public accounting

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSES & CERTIFICATES

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or have completed a minimum of 30 hours in college-level accounting courses
