Temporary Call Center/Eligibility Specialist (PT & FT Available)

*PLEASE NOTE: These are two separate temporary positions that are slated to last between 4-6 months. Both roles come in Part-time and Full-time!

CVR is looking for a professional, well-organized, compassionate individual with great attention to detail to serve as either a Eligibility Specialist or Call Center/Eligibility Specialist . The ideal candidate will have flexible availability as the required work may have peaks and valleys. The services provided assist low-income families and individuals who may include the elderly or disabled. Assistance will include helping the families potentially secure temporary rent payment assistance because of a COVID-19 related income loss.

COVID-19 Rent Assistance – Eligibility Specialist (eligibility only)

This position performs various COVID-19 rent program activities including, but not limited to:

• Processing applications for eligibility and screening, requesting family and landlord documentation, reviewing and verifying information.
• Accurately and timely calculating annual income from documentation provided by the family, updating applicant records and tracking.
• Utilize computer programs to prepare correspondence and reports, requesting verification documents from landlords.
• Verifying eligibility for rent assistance, reviewing leases, determining rent assistance portion, all in conformance with establish rent assistance policy, and prescribed performance standards.
• Candidates must be able to work efficiently and accurately.
• Candidates must be able to use a computer with Internet and Microsoft Suite, be organized, show proper time management skills, take direction from supervisors, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and show strong team work and the ability to work alone.

*Candidates who are proficient (speak, read, write, and understand) in English and Spanish is a plus.

COVID-19 Rent Assistance – Call Center/Eligibility Specialist (call center and eligibility)

• This position performs various COVID-19 rent program activities including, but not limited to: processing applications for eligibility and screening.
• Requesting family and landlord documentation.
• Reviewing and verifying information.
• Answering applicant phone calls timely and assisting applicants with submitting paperwork.
• Answering questions, or completing an application.
• Accurately and timely calculating annual income.
• Updating applicant records and tracking.
• Utilize computer programs to prepare correspondence and reports.
• Requesting verification documents from landlords.
• Verifying eligibility for rent assistance, reviewing leases, determining rent assistance portion, all in conformance with establish rent assistance policy, and prescribed performance standards.
