SQL DBA/Data Architect
- Full-Time
We are looking for a DBA/Data Architect to work with our Software Development teams to ensure database quality, efficiency, and integrity. This role will include architectural, development, and administrator functions. The weight of each of these will vary depending on the features and functionality being developed in the project.
Objectives of this Role
· Review and approve database changes
· Manage and improve database security, backups, backups, etc
· Develop and manage data conversions for the new system
· Resolve legacy ETL issues
· Support and develop reporting for the new system
· Manage and deploy appropriate database upgrades
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
· Identify database work
· Evaluate, analyze, and communicate issues, concerns, fixes, etc.
· Strategize on upcoming features and needs of the new system
· Collaborate with Scrum Teams to ensure database work meets standards
· Attend Team meetings, as needed, to keep the work moving forward
· Contribute to the Leadership report
· Author and update documentation
Requirements
Administer a multi-instance MS SQL environment
Advice developers on data architecture best practices
Review developer written T-SQL code
Troubleshoot data quality issues in ETL process
Analyze data for performance improvements
