Nutrition Scientist

Purpose of the Role:

The Nutrition Scientist is responsible for championing the development and execution of NeoLife’s scientific communications, research, and clinical trials. She/he will be a key player on NeoLife’s product team, sharing our commitment to delivering quality products backed by solid research and science. The Nutrition Scientist will have a passion for communicating this research and science to engage, educate and empower our customers and business partners.  

The Nutrition Scientist will review literature pertaining to nutrition, dietary supplements, and novel ingredients. The Nutrition Scientist will have the ability to analyze and summarize scientific findings from a wide body of literature, and then translate these findings into layperson’s language as well as DSHEA compliant structure/function claims. The Nutrition Scientist will also be responsible for assisting in the creation of unique, science-based formulations while adhering to Global product regulations. This role interfaces with multiple departments, assists with educational collateral and website content, helps to write articles for publication, and helps to design and oversee the execution of clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet business needs.

• Research and write substantiation for new products and existing product renovations
• Write, revise and update product-related marketing collateral and product labels as needed
• Review and update existing product support materials
• Write educational articles and blogs
• Redesign, implement and monitor the NeoLife University educational platform and content
• Lead the research, development, and execution of Personalized Nutrition program
• Assist with regulatory compliance and quality oversight
• Assist in developing interdepartmental processes
• Liaison with co-manufacturers on new product innovation and product renovation
• Manage development timelines to ensure project milestones are met
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, best practices and regulatory changes
• Create presentations to train Field Support (customer service) teams
• Assist with clinical trial design and execution

Education and Experience:

• S. in Clinical/Human Nutrition or related field. Doctoral degree a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in developing dietary supplements or food products
