Software Engineer in Test III (Remote + Office Visits Twice a Mo

Based in Redwood City, CA (This person will be able to work REMOTELY with office visits twice per month), we are a publicly-traded biotechnology software company focused on reproductive and clinical testing products. What You Will Be Doing

- Responsible for supporting test infrastructure of our software systems and components.
- Design, build, and maintain data-driven test automation tools and frameworks using clean coding practices and functional programming methodologies.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects.
- Perform system analysis, assess risk, and develop strong test strategies by analyzing product design and technical specifications, and by collaborating with product managers and developers.
- Integrate with deployment infrastructure to establish a continuous build and test cycle.
- Perform test environment set up and configuration.
- Evangelize new testing methodologies, best practices and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through automation.
- Report, document, and communicate failures discovered through testing with the affected teams.
- Work closely with developers in all phases of SDLC to build quality into our development process.

What You Need for this Position

- 3 to 6 years of experience developing test automation frameworks and tools
- Proficiency in either of the programming languages; Java or Scala
- Experience with test automation tools and libraries such as Selenium, TestNG, Junit, ScalaTest, and/or Gatling
- Strong SQL query skills; and have recently created complex queries
- Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux (specifically Unix)
