Sr. Credit Operations Manager

 The Credit Operations Senior Manager’s role is to assist the Director of Accounting with managing day-to-day operations of the Credit Accounting Departments (Offline Credit and Customer Accounting) as directed.

Responsibilities:

The Credit Operations Senior Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that various credit administration duties are executed properly such as loan processing and maintenance, document administration (scanning), and the administration of Conn’s credit policies and procedures.
• Conduct quality performance tracking, monitoring, and reporting
• Assist the Director of Accounting with strategic planning, budgeting, and best-practice process improvements.
• Ensure accuracy of credit related accounting information through verification and calibration of software specifications, report layouts, functional acceptance testing, system accuracy and new software program implementations
• Identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change; and then develops, implements and maintains solutions thereof to ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of customer accounts
• Monitor the compliance of Company’s credit policies and provides ongoing supervision of all related processes and controls thereof
• Responsible for staff’s preparation of daily accounting reconciliations and general ledger postings related to Credit Accounting
• Motivate employees to ensure optimal performance results are achieved and that a positive, constructive work environment is provided
• Address staff performance issues; provides additional training when needed; recommends appropriate personnel actions
• Works with and supports other departments, including Collections and Customer Service

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field is required
• Additional years of professional experience may be substituted in lieu of required degree on a one-year for one-year basis.
• 10+ years applicable experience, including 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience required
• Experience with AS400, Lawson, and/or a collections platform is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
• Experience in financial analysis is highly preferred
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for interacting and communicating with department managers and executive leadership
• Excellent presentation, analytical, problem solving AND organizational skills
• Effective leadership skills to motivate and coordinate staff within the approved structure
• Must work with integrity in all interactions and strive for excellence in all aspects of the job
