Software Engineer Intern

Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join our BCT Summer in Space Internship program. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. In addition, applicants must be enrolled fall semester 2022. This will be a full-time position for the summer for approximately 10 weeks, starting at the end of May 2023.

Pay Range: $27.56 - $29.29 hour (Salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Location: Lafayette, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded data processing and control software for flight systems in C and Matlab.
• Develop ground test tools and solutions to verify and validate flight systems.
• Support software testing and anomaly resolution.

• Development work is executed in a team environment spanning multiple programs with engineers from various disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently be working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Software, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering

• At start of internship, must have completed greater than or equal to two years of previous college coursework

• Experience with embedded systems
• Experience with Linux / Ubuntu
• Familiarity with C or C++
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
• Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task
• Effective communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects
• US work authorization required

Position Details:

• 3-month paid internship
• 40 hours per week
• No relocation assistance

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
