Sr. Controls Engineer

This position requires Manufacturing experience.

The Sr. Controls Engineer partners with Operations, Maintenance, Work Management and Plant Systems Engineering to support plant operations by leading equipment improvement efforts. This position is also responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming electrical controls and robotics in the facility.

• Be responsible for organizing data such as preventive/predictive maintenance, failure analysis, major equipment breakdown/repair, troubleshooting information, etc. and be able to analyze as needed.
• Determine the types of data collection/predictive maintenance required to improve equipment reliability and work with necessary organizations to implement them.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment using trouble-shooting skills, root cause analysis as well as effective communications with internal customers, OEMs and contractors.
• Optimize the PM/PdM (Preventative/Predictive Maintenance) program to ensure the effective use of resources and to maximize equipment reliability.
• Redesign/modify equipment components to improve reliability and service running life.
• Utilize CMMS to build and analyze data for reliability opportunities and effectiveness.
• Overall responsibility will be to improve reliability and performance of plant equipment.

Sr. Controls Engineer Requirements/ Skills:

- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

- Strong communication and teamwork

- 5+ years of mechanical manufacturing engineering experience, with product background

- Working knowledge of mechanical drawings, including GD&T, as well as inspection methods

- Project planning and management experience, including estimating resources, budgets and schedule

- Statistical principles & tools (process capability, process control, ANOVA, etc.)

- Six Sigma/Design for Six Sigma (preferred)

- Manufacturing cost estimation with product experience

- Computer Aided Design (2-D and 3-D)

- Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAPCON)

Salary $90,000 - $100,000 a year.
