Lecturer in Mathematics

Lycoming College seeks qualified candidates for a lecturer in mathematics to begin in August 2022. Highly effective teaching is the primary responsibility of this position. The successful candidate will teach 4 courses each semester consisting primarily of statistics and precalculus. Lycoming College affords its faculty a great deal of autonomy in how they teach classes and welcomes innovative approaches towards teaching.

The successful candidate will have either a master’s degree in Mathematics or a master’s degree in education with either a B.A. in Mathematics or current secondary teacher certification in mathematics. Candidates with experience teaching mathematics at either the middle, secondary or college level are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a clearly articulated desire to teach students at the early college level.
