Job Description

PROTEK is looking for an experienced SharePoint Online developer to work on client projects, primarily focusing on our clients at the National Institutes of Health. All work is currently done on location in Germantown. We currently are teleworking, but may return to the office two days per week in the future.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

Design and develop scalable performing solutions using SharePoint online and Office 365 platform.
Develop extensions, webparts, application pages using modern SharePoint framework (SPFX), PNPJS, Fluent UI, and ReactJS
Create a variety of scalable custom solutions while keeping security and performance in mind
Strong experience with CSS, ideally using USWDS
Exhibit sound knowledge of SharePoint core principles such as content types, taxonomy, managed meta data, security, search customizations and configurations,

Experience with developing database driven applications in .NET using C#
Ideal candidate would have SharePoint 2013 development experience
Experience with React/Angular, SOA, JQuery, XML, HTML, CSS & JavaScript
Strong SQL (ideally both SQL Server and Oracle) experience writing procedures
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle standards
Excellent oral & written communication skills
3+ years of experience developing SharePoint online custom extensions and webparts using SPFX, ReactJS
3+ years of experience developing solutions with Power Automate & Power Apps
Experience with SharePoint online modern solutions design and architecture
Eight years experience as a software/web developer in relevant technologies
Ideal candidate would have experience working on systems at NIH and/or have experience with financial/contracts/grants/administrative systems
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent
MCSE/MCSD certification preferred
Must be able to pass government public trust clearance

The successful candidate must be able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast paced team environment and must be able to organize her/her work load. The candidate should be comfortable performing analysis tasks in the course of completing an assignment, as well as developing documentation as needed.
