Position Information:

We have a position for a Sr. BI Engineer available.

Responsibilities:

Assist in determining objectives and requirements in anticipation of using BI and the data warehouse as a solution to address business-related problems.
Design/develop/implement comprehensive BI solutions (from data model to dashboards) to problems, assuring system quality, integrity, and performance efficiency.
Participate in the design and development of specifications for BI systems, databases, and data model.
Participate in the design and development of departmental standards for delivery of solutions that satisfy business requirements and GxP compliance when relevant.
Conduct code and specification review
Delineate project activities from user requirements and system specifications. Assist in the preparation of plans, schedules, and estimates for projects.
Provide Third Tier support for BI, reporting and/or all assigned systems, as needed.
Assist developers and provide data access guidance, as needed.
Create SSRS reports with the data queried/provided.
Produce and maintain SQL objects, such as stored procedures, user-defined functions, tables and views, SQL Agent jobs that support ETL and BI Reporting.
Provide ad-hoc queries and performance metrics to the business and associates.
Help determine level of effort and time required for solution delivery.
Create and maintain technical documentation to support specifications and requirements.
Create ETL/SSIS packages for data warehousing.
Participate in on-call rotation and assist with after-hours issues, as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems science, or equivalent experience and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in design, programming, database design, and communication techniques.
Must have a minimum of a MCSA Database certification.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience with Microsoft SSAS/SSIS/SSRS.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience extracting and transforming data within a Business Intelligence environment.
Five (5) + years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages.
Seven (7) + years of experience with SQL programming objects, including stored procedures, user-defined functions, and common table expressions.
Two (2) + years of experience with SharePoint PerformancePoint.
