Position Summary:

Responsible for modelling and analytic controls covering design, development, implementation, optimization, and validation. Provides provision of analytics to identify risks, new risk trends, management information, forecasts, and recommend model or control amendments to address these specifically for non-regulatory risk purposes. Supports regulatory and non-regulatory purposes and the development of policy. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for credit model development and implementation as well as ongoing model use support.
• Supports and embeds change initiatives, identifying and developing new or improved delivery mechanisms.
• Responsible for the delivery of end results and for contributing to planning, finances, budget and policy development.
• Develops business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for loanDepot in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
• Manages team members and provides coaching and mentorship in order to develop and retain talent at loanDepot.
• Drives step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
• Manages and sequences delivery of business intent, builds business requirements and executes against the product strategy, while overseeing multiple projects and programs concurrently.
• Works closely with colleagues across loanDepot, including IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
• Utilizes and leverages a proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics to further enhance loanDepot’s already rigorous analytics marketing and credit risk management practices.
• Builds and leverages the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise, to foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and deliver consistent results.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of ten (10) + years of experience in a quantitative field within financial services.
• Quantitative and programming experience and skills (Matlab R, Python, etc.).
• Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment.
