SQL Developer

Blue Rose is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to augment our excellent development team.  This is a REMOTE role supporting offices in Atlanta, GA. 

You will work as part of a broader Agile SCRUM team to develop and optimize reports.

You will be expected to develop fast and performant database queries, and stored procedures, in addition to performing database maintenance tasks and ensuring an even load distribution as required.

Responsibilities:

• Write fast and performant database queries using a flavor of Microsoft SQL Server, such as MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving using JavaScript and other programming languages
• Maintain and back up databases regularly
• Perform SQL database sharding and indexing procedures as required to handle heavy traffic loads
• Develop, optimize, and implement stored procedures
• Use database analytical tools to analyze performance and generate reports 

Qualifications and Skill Sets:

• Bachelors degree in software development, computer science, business intelligence, information technology, data management, or other related fields
• Advanced knowledge of database stored procedures and Microsoft SQL Server concepts
• Knowledge of one or more SQL variants and reporting tools, such as SSRS
• The ability to create fast and efficient database queries, including joining and cross-referencing cells from several tables
• Familiarity with standard database management tools and software, such as Microsoft SSRS, Cassandra
• Excellent communication skills

Salary: $135,000 - $145,000
