Job Title: Test Engineer II - 32091-1

Duration: 12 Months (W2 Possible Conversion)

Location: Redmond, WA

Responsibilities:

• Operate wafer-level and die-level optical test equipment
• Develop automation routines in LabView and/or python to control laboratory test instruments and acquire data
• Perform tool evaluation and calibration and assess the accuracy of the data.
• Work closely with the metrology team to identify problems and gaps in the current system and make recommendations for improvements proactively.
• Run data analysis and report measurement results in a meaningful way.
• Support staff for tool modifications and maintenance.
• Follow standard operating procedures and all safety protocols.
• Actively document and communicate experimental observations, results, and conclusions with research staff.
• Comfortable working with laser and complex optical equipment in a cleanroom environment.

Skills

• Experienced with wafer-level and die-level testing of electronic and/or optical components
• Experience operating in an optical lab and cleanroom environment
• Experience in test automation with LabView
• Familiar with standard optical and electronic test equipment, including light-sources, optical power-meters, polarization controllers, oscilloscopes, SMUs
• Familiar with optical fibers, including handling, cleaning, and splicing
• Familiar with python, Matlab, or other scripting languages
• Previous work with integrated photonics is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
