Mechanical Engineer – Vacuum Systems

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Mechanical Engineer at Design Visionaries, you will be responsible for design and test of components and assemblies, including vacuum chambers, for an innovative electron-beam lithography system. This role requires experience in mechanical design, simulation, drafting, and testing. Experience in ultra-high vacuum system design is preferable. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in engineering in the semiconductor capital equipment industry.

This position is based at our headquarters in San Jose, California.

·         Teamwork role on projects holding to a competitive schedule

·         Process module design, development, and integration of sub-systems, including vacuum systems, plasma cleaning systems, and magnetic shielding; DFM, design for serviceability

·         Refine engineering specifications and conduct design reviews

·         Prepare pertinent reports and share technical information with team

·         Work hands-on in the cleanroom and lab

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

·         Experience in capital equipment design

·         Experience with vacuum systems and chambers, including Ultra-High Vacuum (preferred)

·         Strong analytical problem solving and root cause analysis skills

·         Ability to work hands-on in cleanroom and lab

·         Proficiency in Pro-E/PTC Creo, plus modeling of cable routing (preferred)

EDUCATION and TRAINING

·         B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field; M.S. (preferred)

·         Mechanical engineering tools including simulation software (preferred)
