Graphics Software Engineer - US Remote

We are seeking an experienced Graphics Software Engineer (internal title is Software Engineer) to design and implement our "HOOPS" Native and Web Platforms. Tech Soft 3D is the global leader in 3D development software toolkits, and our clients use HOOPS Platforms to power their engineering applications. Working alongside colleagues in our other locations around the world, we are looking for someone ready to dive into our specialized technology. This position is open to remote work anywhere in the US and Europe.

What You Will Do:

• Utilize your technical skills to design and develop production-grade 3D graphics software for desktop and mobile platforms in C++, C#, and C.
• Participate on global Scrum team
• Be the change. Analyze complex problems with 3D graphics and geometric modeling software to identify defects or potential improvements and recommend and implement such improvements.
• Collaborate extensively across the globe with other developers and colleagues especially California and France.
• Write and perform unit tests and other software QA and validation
• We want to hear your opinion and recommendations along the way! Stay well-informed of technology and market changes that may affect or enhance our products
• Provide feedback on and suggest improvements to product documentation, programming examples, white papers, etc.

The Qualifications:

• Five or more years of software development experience
• BS in an applicable field, preferably Computer Science or Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• Very strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns, etc.
• Excellent skill writing and debugging C++ code
• Meaningful experience with low-level 3D computer graphics technologies and APIs (such as DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal).
• Very strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Fast learner with attention to both the overall concepts and the details
• Travel two to three weeks per year as COVID safety precautions allow

Experience You Should Definitely Brag About:

• Meaningful experience with low-level 3D computer graphics technologies and APIs (such as DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal). If you want your resume to stand out, this is what you should emphasize.
• Experience working in Scrum
• Software development on a wide variety of platforms, including Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows.
• Experience with a wide range of technologies, APIs, and application frameworks that facilitate cross platform development, such as Qt, Wx, Xamarin, and Java.
• Advanced degree in an applicable field
• Experience writing and debugging C# or Objective C
• Experience working with a global team
• Experience with CAD, CAM, CAE, or other engineering software
• French language skills
