Job Summary

This position is responsible for Commercial Banking customer service across all markets which Bell Bank serves. Uses knowledge of Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, and deposit products to serve Bell Bank’s commercial customer base effectively and efficiently. Partners with our Customer Service Center, and Digital Services teams, making sure to effectively communicate and share information as needed, to enhance customer service, and provide the best possible customer experience. This team will act as a one-stop place for customers to go, working behind the scenes to resolve any questions, or issues that may arise.

Primary Duties:

BSA/KYC Documentation

  • Assist with a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and secure messages from external customers, as well as internal team members.
  • Serve as a resource to internal partners to provide basic online support, commercial account support, and treasury management product support.
  • Work with other departments to ensure customer servicing needs are met, such as Customer Service Center, Digital Services, Commercial Banking and Treasury Management teams, and various operations teams.
  • Perform in-depth testing of any system updates, releases, or enhancements that will affect the Commercial Banking Client Services team.
  • Partner with leadership to develop, maintain and ensure procedures are current.
  • Continually review existing processes, test new processes and continually identify improvements.
  • Partner with the appropriate departments to research and resolve questions and issues for clients.
  • Provide support and assistance, and other related duties as assigned, in support of the daily functions of the CBCS team.
  • Manage and complete projects as assigned by the Commercial Client Services Manager.
  • Participate in internal and external training to maintain knowledge of commercial and treasury products and services, and other appropriate training as required.
  • Identifies channels of escalation when and where necessary, maintain good communication with partner groups.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, accurately and efficiently to meet team quality standards.
  • Adhere to all Bank standards, policies and procedures as well as banking laws and regulations.
  • Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
  • Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
  • Know, understand and live the company values and bottom line.
  • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • All employees are responsible for information security including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Required:

  • B.A. in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and/or related banking or customer service experience.
  • Financial institution contact center experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in banking deposit products and customer service.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and effective problem resolution skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to complete task assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and multi-task in a high-volume work flow with multiple priorities, interruptions and possible short-term deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment characterized by sometimes changing priorities and react to those changes productively.
  • Ability to be team focused, recognizing the goals of everyone around as well as their own, with the ability to share their strengths as well as to rely on the strengths of coworkers.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, cohesive and cooperative team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and customers.
  • Competent in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications and electronic mail, and various windows based software applications.
