Sr. R&D Scientist (Computer Vision)

Title: Research/Applied Scientist
Location: Kirkland, WA- REMOTE
Compensation: DOE

What You Will Be Doing

Overall, you'll join our team with a mission of creating and building smart living for everyone using machine learning and deep learning. As an R&D Scientist, you'll help solve technical challenges by creating innovative algorithms. You'll play an active role in translating business requirements into solutions and build prototypes or POC. Specific responsibilities will include:

1.) Define models with large data sets- inventing, building and monitoring CV models for a variety of tasks (object detection, facial recognition, pose estimation, event recognition, object tracking)
2.) Build data pipelines to ingest, process and analyze data for CV models
3.) Prototype new models with performance requirements
4.) Perform offline/online testing
5.) Push models to production
6.) Patent and publish findings in CV and ML conferences

What You Need for this Position

REQUIRED:

1.) PhD in CS or related field
2.) Publication record in top CV/ML conferences or journals
3.) Experience working with datasets/deep learning algorithms
4.) Deep understanding of CV algorithms (Object Detection, Face Detection/Recognition)
5.) Able to implement CV algorithms in code using existing toolkits and codes
6.) Experience with deep learning toolkits
7.) Strong proficiency in C/C++ or Python
