This position is for our High-Pressure Aluminum Die Casting Plant.
Salary DOE $90kish + profit sharing.
Automotive manufacturing or similar experience preferred
PURPOSE OF POSITION : The System Analyst will be the primary point of contact for Server upgrades and installation of any new hardware/software. Design, develop, implement new security polices for network users and maintain applications/systems necessary to collect and report data for business functions and to help build interdepartmental communication. To provide level 1 & 2 support for servers, PC's, printers, and other general network problems.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY : Responsible for building, implementing, and managing development activities/requests while using effective management of time, decisions and problem solving. Responsible for continuously improving the content, design and technology of development projects through knowledge of current technologies and techniques. Responsible for IT hardware inventory, assigning and delegating incoming help tickets, maintaining all scanning devices and user accounts, creating and implementing images for PC's, installing software packages, creation of Active Directory groups and user accounts, adding new e-mail user accounts, troubleshooting problems reported by users, adding and configuring network and stand alone printers, adding and configuring devices on the wireless network, and assisting the Networking and Business Analysts with project implementations.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Installs and Configures and Maintain Local Area Network Equipment, and Workstations.
- Manage, plan, and coordinate the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
- Oversee file management on centralized resource (i.e. File Servers, Virtualization Server, ERP Server, and Application Server) or on individual workstations.
- Design, code, test, analyze, document and implement new application and make changes to existing applications written in VB.NET or ASP.NET
- Perform other duties as required. Revises and Updates programs and Documentation for Business applications
- Provide ongoing system and application support to all functional areas
- Develop and deploy efficient and effective interfaces to integrate multiple systems
- Manage computer/server security and anti-virus updates.
- Manage and monitor all procedure for all server backups
- Design and Implement group policy for all network users.
- Provide First/Second Level Computer Desktop Support to Drive Associates
- Provide First Level Support for MRP/ERP System
- Provide First/Second Support for Shop Floor Equipment
- Coordinate/Manage Support with Outside Service Contractors for Office and Shop floor LAN Equipment.
- Promotes good housekeeping
- Performs other duties as required.
Position Requirements/Knowledge & Experience
SKILL (Ability to do the job):
-Must possess good interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Must possess advanced technical skills, including a strong knowledge of VB.NET, SQL Server, IIS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, classic ASP, and ASP.NET.
-Must have advanced knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, basic networking, and personal computer hardware &Software troubleshooting.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four year college or university; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of Technical education and experience.
TECHNICAL TRAINING: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, Server 2019, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Active Directory, PC Hardware Technician, MSSQL Server Administration
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time, and occasional stooping and bending.
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED
Some of the equipment and tools used for the job are a computer, telephone, fax machine ,Copier / printer, projector scanners, network testers, and basic tools (i.e. Crimpers, wire cutters, screw drivers, etc.)
