Our client, a world leader in design and manufacturing of advanced optical inspection and metrology tools, seeking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer.

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Linux Systems Programming)

Location: Milpitas, CA (Hybrid/Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months with an option to Hire

Job Description:

Full Stack software engineer to build a framework and system that can help monitor and analyze distributed image processing framework written in java/c++.

Required Key Skills:

• Understand, troubleshoot and the current java & C based homegrown distributed image processing software infrastructure running on a Linux HPC cluster.

• Compare the various observability tools and either integrate one of the tools or develop a new framework for monitoring the distributed application and standardize the observability across various software teams, drive designs for high performing services and foster great observability practices.

• Strong skills in java, C/C++ / Python, and Linux systems programming, quickly learn and understand the modern trends in HPC and distributed computing frameworks and have a passion for developing infrastructure for high performance and reliability.

• Expert-level programming experience with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, C, Python) and open-source technologies / frameworks

• Understand system-level requirements and translate them into good software design / architectural implementation

• Responsible for solving complex software problems involving multi-process/multiple systems with good OS level understanding

• Understanding of Linux Internals/ Linux System Programming

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end product development lifecycle activities

• Collaborate with teams across different geographical zones to develop / deliver software solutions

• Good knowledge of computer architecture

• Knowledge working with HPC, Linux, Win32 understanding
