Senior Product Engineer

PMI Worldwide is looking for a Product Engineer. You will be responsible for implementing the product vision while working with internal and external partners to ensure successful product launches. You will gain experience working on a multi-functional team in a fast-paced environment, leading product design, documentation, and validation. You will collaborate with product management, industrial design, quality assurance, and engineering teams globally in delivering a constant flow of new products that revolutionize the way people enjoy beverages and food everywhere. Key Responsibilities

• Manage, execute, and report on 30+ active projects at one time varying in complexity and scope
• Drive overall product development through proactive communication with key project stakeholders regarding design tradeoffs, manufacturing limitations and/or supplier capabilities
• Visually communicate manufacturing methods and design intent across teams, globally
• Deliver feedback to industrial design and product management teams during initial product concept and design phases of product development process.
• Create and maintain product specifications and validation plans including risk analysis
• Actively participate in quality reviews of samples and shipments. Responsible to ensure all concerns are logged and follow up to communicate back to production partners and internal stakeholders
• Support overseas Engineering team and Factory Liaison Managers to launch products on time, on scope and in budget
• Create Bills of Materials, testing requirements and other process documents.
• This position reports to the Engineering Manager

Skills and Experience

• Successful track record delivering a constant flow of products to market on aggressive timelines
• Ability to leverage virtual teams and manufacturing environments spread across the globe
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all levels within the organization
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, specifically metal forming and plastic injection molding preferred
• Ability to work with cross-functional team members and external suppliers to efficiently translate product requirements and design into manufacturable and robust engineering solutions
• Experience in consumer hard goods industry preferred
• 7+ years of experience in product development, product design, design engineering, Lean Design or Design for Manufacture; Experience with Asia based factories desired
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and PLM/PDM systems
• Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize tasks; must have time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills
• Experience with product specification documentation and technical illustration including Adobe Illustrator preferred
• Work accurately with close attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines on a regular basis
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time (COVID dependent)
