Research Associate (Drug Discovery)

Founded in 2013 we are a preclinical drug delivery & nucleic acid medicines company that is targeting to hire a Research Associate with a background in cell biology with the proper lab exposure & training. We are building out an expansion team and this role will report to the Associate Director of Drug Discovery - it will be a tremendous learning opportunity with the chance to be on the cutting edge of biomedical / cell / molecular biology experimentation.

What You Will Be Doing

- Design & execute in vitro experiments w/ minimal supervision
- Perform basic assay troubleshooting & methods development
- Keep accurate inventory of supplies for laboratory operations (including cell line banking)
- Contribute to publications & present results at internal meetings
- Generate proof-of-concept data for new early stage programs
- Regularly interact w/ Assoc. Director & Project Leads on all assigned projects
- Responsible for following safety rules & general lab maintenance

What You Need for this Position

- Bachelors of Science w/ 2+ years of relevant lab experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience w/ in vitro biochemical & cell-based assays (e.g. cell culture, transfections, Western blots/WES, In-cell Westerns, qPCR,
ELISA, etc.)
- Ability to perform standard lab calculations
- Proficiency in the use of standard software (incl. Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint)
